Ministry of Education is beginning to incorporate Aboriginal education into the curriculum. We have been involved in helping with the social studies curriculum and recently we are assisting to develop the health curriculum by integrating Aboriginal content. Our School has been incorporating many lessons, events, activities to promote First Nations and Metis education in our school. We feel that incorporating First Nations and Metis educational practices will improve the pride and self esteem of our students. This year we have had many Elders involved in our classrooms as storytellers who guide our students to make positive decisions using thier wisdom.
